DAVID WARD B.A., F.C.A.
I trained as an accountant with Arthur Youngs Birmingham (now Ernst & Young) and having qualified in 1985 then worked for Price Waterhouse (now PwC). I then moved into industry working for a variety of companies.
I relocated to Cheshire when I began work for British Salt in 1991. I spent 16 years working there as Financial Controller and then Finance Director. More recently I have worked on a self employed basis for small and medium sized businesses providing accounting and taxation services.
My career history has given me a broad experience of both preparing accounts and tax returns and also running businesses. This enables me to provide constructive advice to clients on a wider range of matters than most traditional accounting firms can.
I have worked with many accounting systems, including Sage Line 50.
I am a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (Reg no 7494816) and hold a current practicing certificate for tax and accounting services. This means I have Professional Indemnity Insurance and am committed to a programme of Continuous Professional Development to ensure I keep up to date with changes in tax and accounting law and regulations.
